Further Clarification In Regards to the Poll
Hey everyone.
Apologies for yet another announcement, but this is the easiest way for me to get everyone's attention since these show up on player's news feeds. Just felt like popping in to clarify a few things in regards to the poll.
Firstly, I want to assure you that the Team is very much aware of the various shortcomings the game currently has. Even though we asked for our community's opinion on where to start, we know that Dungeons, Skills, and Items are every bit as important as Classes. To provide additional perspective however, Classes are probably the most time consuming thing to take care of. With Dungeons, the final product doesn't go live until we hit that "Publish" button. Which gives us plenty of time to test out the dungeon with what we call Clone Groups before we feel that its ready to be put into the dungeon rotations. With Classes, especially those that are already in the game, as soon as we make any changes it gets slated to go live as soon as the servers do a refresh on Sundays. As a result, we end up having to be rather careful in the tweaks we make. This is further compounded by not really being able to test out the class before the changes go live. As a result Dungeons can essentially be worked on at any time, even after something like a World Reset. Which brings me to my second clarification.
The Team is aware that Darkveil could really use a Reset. Even ignoring the issues with the economy, our veterans have so much gold that creating alts takes some of the joy out of the game because that alt will have plenty of gold and therefore is only waiting on :ep: gains. I am not going to give a specific answer as to when or if a Reset will occur. The idea has been discussed very briefly, and it was decided that, especially with the current state of classes, a Reset and subsequent advertising for new players might do more harm than good in the long run. With me having returned, I do have the permissions required to do a Reset. Should the team reach a point where we feel the game is in a better state, we shall open the discussion yet again.
And lastly, I am looking for four volunteers. This suggestion comes directly from Peanut, so thanks for that my man (or woman?). The game does currently lack some polish in certain areas, namely the Wiki (which is still practically non-existent) and translation/grammar/spelling issues. So to that end, I'm looking for two volunteers willing to help me tackle the translation/grammar/spelling issues and two volunteers willing to help work on the Wiki. Those two things will go a long ways towards presenting the game better to potential new players. Should you be interested, shoot me a :mail: detailing your experience with the game and I'll pick four from whoever applies. You will be given the "helper" permission and we'll work on polishing what needs polish.
Thank you for your time.
